Wrestling with Family Values? That was the title of an article that appeared in the “Campus Carrier” the student newspaper for Berry College in Rome, Georgia. This was brought to my attention by one of the NAWA’s loyal fans, who just so happens to also attend said school. I read the article with an open mind, and that allowed me to dissect and give my true journalistic opinion of the piece. IT IS GARBAGE!!!!!!!!! I will include a link to this newspaper as so you can read the whole thing yourselves, and form your own opinions, especially those who have busted their asses for the NAWA to make it without a doubt the best damn show in Rome, but for now you will be subjected to my ranting and raving, enjoy.

What the fuck? Who? Oh I will get to that in a few. I believe your roster is filled to the brim with green pieces of shit, who begged to get back into the NAWA. Don’t make me have to post the emails, I read some of them, they were good, but I will put them on blast here and on every fucking message board I can find.

"We run one of the only family entertainment shows around. We're trying to keep kids off the street," said one of the four owners, who identified himself only as the "Sharp Dressed Man." The group of owners sees the federation as a family tradition, meaning no one person owns the operation. "Between the four of us we're pushing 65 years of total experience," the Sharp Dressed Man said”

We are trying to keep kids off the streets? What the hell does that mean? One of the only family entertainment shows around? Uh, hello, I don’t think hardcore, is promoted as “family friendly”. 65 years of total experience, you couldn’t tell it by any of you guys ring work. I understand “working” people, but my God man, have some pride and integrity.

Once again, there is your family entertainment.

“This match was only half of the special double main event. A "hardcore match" between J.W. and Abdullah the Butcher was a surprise for the audience. Here we go with who has appeared there question I asked earlier. Folks, if you believe that. I am going to be a guest commentator at Wrestlemania XX with Bobby Heenan and that prick Tony Schiavonie. Get my drift. Anyhoo, I have watched hundreds of Abdullah matches, in fact I have witnessed a handful of them in person. I was an announcer for three of them, and in those times I worked with him, he didn’t spend 30 minutes in the ring, TOTAL!!!!!!!! Nevermind that fact, Abby does work for free. Since when did Abby start cutting promos. The man doesn’t do that. It would kill his gimmick. However, I don’t totally blame you for this, I blame the writers of this so called piece of journalism.

Uh? If so, why weren’t you guys out promoting them. Now, I will give you the benefit of the doubt on Bull, you probably booked him before he was Bull and before his WWF(E) days. Or maybe you did so when he was Rekon, but that has been ages ago, and not in the building you are in now. Ricky Morton? I believe that he was in Rome, but for us over at the NAWA. In fact one of the people mentioned later in this column, was involved with that altercation, and nearly fucked up everything in the match. As for Abby, well I know what he comes for, and I am not at liberty to say or do I feel it proper for me to share that with you, but just to give you an idea. You guys would have to draw about 10 times your usual draw of 25-30 just to make a profit.

“However, there are a good number of younger wrestlers on the roster. Tony Potts, aka Lance Timberlake, has been wrestling for a little over a year and just joined the SWF. "I had four months of training before my first match," Potts said. Potts' first match was with Bull Buchanan. Since then, Potts has sustained two separated shoulders. Even with the injuries, "it's like a childhood dream come true," Potts said.”

There he is!!! Potts, if you trained for four months before your first match, and then you’ve been wrestling a little over a year, that means you would have started training let’s say in May of 2002. Which we all know is bullshit. You have been around this business barely 8 months. In fact I first met you and Rick, you know the guy who came up with all your ideas for Lance Timberlake, back at Spring Stampede. I am not going to rehash our heat. You know and I know the story of what a piece of shit you are. Your four months of training? Was this after you got punked by Jimmy Rave? Dude, give it up, you are not a wrestler. I will give you credit, you got good mic skills, but you are about as stupid as anyone person I have ever met (yes, even dumber than Lil’ Will). Your shoulder injury was a work, we all knew you were scared of Nemesis and just didn’t want to train, but it is cool. LOL

Three works of art!!! I will look up their E-Mail addresses and post them on my Message Board. However, now for the breaking news. One of these three journalistic geniuses is dating Potts. Ok, so you expect a gay joke here, but it is true. Do I think a favor was done, and maybe Potts begged and got a good piece written? Of course I do. Which makes this article bogus, and discounts the credibility of all involved. I invite one of you, it doesn’t matter which one, to a NAWA show. In fact you can have my one guest pass for the evening. I’d prefer the one who had the most to do with this show up, and then give us the same consideration. Actually you need to do it for yourself to get some redemption and try to salvage what little journalistic integrity you have left. All I can say is, you guys were made to look stupid by the biggest idiot of them all Tony Potts.
